“True independence and freedom can only exist in doing what's right.”~Brigham Young I thought that this quote would help you think about what you want when you get to the High School
Freedom and Independence are fairly the same thing. They both mean you have the power to choose
what you want. Once you get into High School you’re not going to want your parents hanging
around you like your still two years old! Trust me, neither do I! Throughout my freshman year I have
come to think that even though I think that I can do everything myself, I have found myself multiple
times asking for my parents help. I know we all have thought about “how perfect our lives would be if
you didn’t have parents nagging on you all the time.” Just stop and think about all the things that
your parents give you. You will realize that you will want your parents there every now and again.
There is about ten times more peer pressure in the High School then in the Junior High. Youhave to look out for yourself and your friends, to make sure they are making good choices anddecisions about anything and everything. Your friends are your peers they are people your age orclose to it who have interests similar to yours. You and your friends make dozens of decisionsevery day, and you influence each other's choices and behaviors. It's human nature to listen to and learn from other people in your age group. As you become more independent, your peers naturally play a greater role in your life. People are influenced by peers because they want to fitin, be like peers they admire, do what others are doing, or have what others have. For moreinformation visit the site below…
